Alright...at the request of Grammy and Auntie Meggan I've taken some video of L this morning for everyone to see. I also plan to do a fashion show of the nice new outfits that Grammy and Auntie sent us this afternoon and post those also. :)

Lame-o!
I know...I really am lame for waiting so long in between my posts. I have a hundred and one excuses for why I haven't posted....but, they all seem pretty lame when I'm here trying to rationalize why I don't get on more. For one thing, I actually have been pretty busy...or at least keeping myself busy. I've got SEVERAL projects I have been working on for Lorelai and others, but unfortunately I can't post them on here just yet because there are people who keep and eye on my blog that I need to surprise so....lol the rest of you will have to suffer until the end of summer when I can finally post all of my hard work for all to see and enjoy.
I think I've been keeping myself busy because I'm a touch home-sick. I like CT, I'm happy here...actually have a form of contentment that I didn't have in SC...maybe because I know we're going to be here for a while so I don't feel like my life is in some funky transition state anymore. However...that actually could be making the homesickness more acute....lol knowing that I'm going to be here for a few years and I have no legitimate reason to leave until August.
Another reason I haven't gotten on....I haven't taken any new videos or pictures of Lorelai! She got her cast off and now is just a normal 7-month-old. Growing like a weed, sure. On the verge of crawling, absolutely. But other then that...not much has changed. I'll try to get a video of her doing her army crawl here soon...although she really does just prefer to roll everywhere. That and I need to get a video/ pic of her eating her little biter cookies now....she's kind of getting the hand of chewing with her gums, but she has no idea what to do with any small food like a cherio or a yogurt puff. And there are NO teeth to speak of in the childs mouth. She hardly drools and never chews on random stuff anymore. I'm starting to think she'll never get teeth...
Let me see if I can dig up a pic of her I haven't posted yet...that way I don't feel like such a poopcicle.

No Excuses
I know....long time no see, and people have been begging me to get on and post. I've been meaning too, really I have, I've just been trying to juggle life, and get things prioritized. A lot of the reason that I haven't blogged as much is because I've been trying to cut down on my internet time during Lorelai's naps. I was getting in a super bad habit of getting online the minute I laid her down and spending the whole two hours ( twice a day mind you) on the internet! All the while neglecting things that I should and want to get done, like house work and various projects that I have taken on, that are kind of impossible to do when L is awake. But I'm going to strive to be better...really, I am. :)
I have several pics of L in her cast, 2 cute video's of her ( on just rolling around and playing and the other of her attempting to crawl) and then a couple pics of her sitting by herself. Hopefully that will satiate all of the L fixes that need to be satiated. :) She hopefully gets her cast off on Wednesday, and we're very excited. I seriously can't wait...I can only imagine that L will get a new sense of freedom when it's off. She's been working so hard at crawling lately she's getting this dry spot on her knee. I suspect it won't be too much longer after she gets her cast off that she'll really start to get the hang of it.
Erick is doing wonderful, we got a small gift and card from his Commander wishing L a speedy recovery, and that was really nice. We really feel blessed to be on the boat that he is on, they're treating him really well and he is enjoying his job. I suspect that part of it has to do with Erick himself, he makes it really easy for people to like him, he's such a goof ball, and he's just a cheerful guy who puts 100% into everything he does. It's hard to dislike a person like that. Believe me...I would know! :)
I'm doing great...I've caught some like spring fever or something, because I've got a million projects that I've been working on and it's really been fun for me. It's nice having a car so L and I can get out every once in a while, but I've been doing a lot of stuff at home...I've started a garden in my front yard, pictures of that to come soon, and debating about doing a vegetable garden in my back yard. I've got several projects going for Megs baby, some she's aware of and some that she's not...I worked on one today that turned out FABULOUS!!! So fabulous in fact, that I think I may try to do some for other pregnant women that I know.
It's just been a lot of fun lately. Life is good.
