Giveaways?

I follow a bunch of blogs that do give-aways, and most of the time I don't enter because every person in the world does so why bother? BUT...this girl is giving away 50$ to one of my favorite online fabric stores so...I really couldn't pass up a chance to win!

Enter if you all want to at

http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=8727489580350739322

( but do it today because the contest ends tomorrow), and go visit the store! It's got some awesome fabrics!

I have issues....

Alright...I'm writing to confess that I have an addiction...

An addiction to....CRAFT BLOGS!!!!!!!

I seriously don't know when it came over me... perhaps when I moved to CT and knew no-one, and got tired of sitting around watching Lulu play all day ( why does she get to have all the fun?) Perhaps when I wanted to get a baby-sling for L, and stumbled upon a free pattern online. Perhaps when Meggan got prego and I started thinking about all of the things I wish that I had had, and wanted to get for her, but was unable to afford. Whatever the catalyst, I now can't get enough of the craft blog phenomenon!

I've put two fairly notable ones on the side of my blog, as you can see, but there are so many talented women out there with brilliant ideas of how to make something out of practically nothing, that it really puts me to shame.

So yes...now I have enough projects that I'm interested in that I can fill up probably the next two years with all of the cool things I want to make.

The only thing that makes me a bit melancholy about my addiction is that...sure, I've got the skills do do just about any project out there. And I've got enough spunk in my personality to not be afraid of a challenging project, things that may test my skill levels and abilities ( or the abilities of my sewing machine and glue gun!) But when I come across a particularly simple tutorial or creative idea, I can't help but think to myself....

"Why didn't I think of that?"

I guess for now I'll just keep copying off of other women's brilliance. Atleast Heavenly Father has blessed me with the ability to do that...even if I'm not the one that comes up with the idea first...

love always,
Jen
