Fill-in Friday!

I really enjoyed " Fill-in Friday" that Wife of a Sailor sponsors the last time I was blogging, so I thought I would pick it up again! Here are my answers to this week's questions

1.If you were a famous movie star, what types of movies would you star in?
Obviously…Romance. Not the super sexy ones….the softly painful ones like “ Pride and Prejudice”. I’m a sucker for romance ( what girl isn’t?!) and I think I could play that just as well as Kiera Knightly!

2.What is a vacation you would like to take if money were no object?
I’ve had a lot of time to think about this lately, because I’ve been wanting to take a vacation with the Hubs when he gets back from deployment. So I’ve been doing what any good little wife would do ( with a husband who is only slightly OCD)…research! Unfortunately, money is an object, so we’ve decided on a much smaller route. But if I could choose ANYWHERE…it would be the coast of Ireland. Because it so…lol romantic :)

3.Did you have pets growing up?
Yes. We had a dog, a little cocker spaniel named Buffy, and we loved him! He died when I was a junior in high school after being with us for 13 years. My husband and I look forward to having a house full of pets for our kids…someday :)

4.What do you do for exercise?
I really enjoy running. I used to do it a lot in college. It’s been a very long time though, since I’ve been married really…so I’m a little bit rusty. My family is doing a “Biggest Loser” this year though, and the game is on! My husband is a runner too…I daydream about us being able to run together…lol when we don’t have young children that need to be watched while the other one of us gets a little exercise :)

5.What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as a MilSpouse?
Hmmm…I’ve been given ( and frankly, have asked for!) a good amount of advice, particularly since the Hubs has been deployed. I really do think the best thing for a military spouse or S/O to do, at least who is dealing with deployment, it would be to find something worthwhile to occupy your time and your mind. Pick up a hobby, find a new job, volunteer for a cause, do something to keep you occupied, because when you are occupied the time goes faster, and it keeps your mind off yourself and how much you're missing you spouse. Not that you won’t ever feel sad or lonely. But at least those moments will be fewer, and easier to deal with when they come because you will feel like your life has continued, instead of being on pause waiting for him to come home.

until next time,

I have seen every P&P and I love the newest one. My favorite will always be the one with Greer Garson though. If I could I would do almost anything to star in Persuasion, that is my all time fav. A sea captain....hmm.lol.
