Today's Song

Goodnight Moon is hosting 'song link-up' and I really wanted to participate! Right before Skunky deployed, there seemed to be a lot of posting about deployment playlists, and I didn't participate because...well I didn't think I had one!! I listen to music for sure...usually at the end of the day when my kids have gone to bed, or if I'm driving in the car. But since Skunky has been gone, music has become VERY important to me ( he made me a few deployment mixes before he left and I listen to them pretty much religiously!!)

The song I chose is a song we played on our honeymoon, and I have played it A LOT this deployment, because it's so fitting to how I feel :) I hope that you enjoy it!

Say it's true, there's nothing like me and you
Not alone, tell me you feel it too
And I would runaway
I would runaway, yeah
I would runaway
I would runaway with you
.
(Chorus)
Cause I have fallen in love
With you, no never have
I'm never gonna stop falling in love, with you
.
Close the door, lay down upon the floor
And by candlelight, make love to me through the night
Cause I have runaway
I have runaway, yeah
I have runaway, runaway
I have runaway with you
.
(Chorus)
.
And I would runaway
I would runaway, yeah
I would runaway
I would runaway with you

Isn't it funny how so many songs mean so much to you during a deployment! They did to me too. It's like the songs were sang just for US, to help us through our days/nights/weeks/months.

And so sweet that this song was from your honeymoon! Even more special.

Thanks for linking up! See you next week, same place, same time, different song!

Music sure does sooth the soul. I don't know the tune but the verses are certainly comforting during periods of being separated by space but close in heart. Hang in there !!!!
