Shall I start again?

Alright...I know its been months since I posted on here. I have to admit that I get a little sidetracked with one method of communicating...lately it's been Facebook, but I'll try to keep both updated and current, to be fair to those who enjoy both methods. :)

I actually really do like blogging...I prefer it over Facebook in some aspects. I like the journaling part of blogging, that you don't get in the 140 word limit they give you to update your Facebook. I like telling stories, and I like reading other people's stories...Stacie in particular has gotten pretty good at that in the last year. :) Anyway...so I'm back for now...hopefully I'll try and update atleast once a week now. We'll see how that goal goes. :)

So....Thanksgiving was great. Erick was home and that was awesome. Of course we argued most of the morning while prep was going on. :) But then the Kaze's came over and we had dinner and everthing was great. Dinner went well...my house is little....and cluttered. I was disappointing with how not really festive things looked. But...this is only my first year. The fact that I actually got a meal prepared is a big step right? I'm sure that the more I do this year by year the more I'll be able to perfect my technique at putting on a Thanksgiving dinner. :)

Of course everything couldn't go smoothly...I clogged our garbage disposal with sweet potato peals and we couldn't get it fixed until friday afternoon. So the aftermath of dinner and prep lasted well into friday, but then Erick was a sweety and did all the clean up for me. :) Friday night Erick and I went on a date to Coldstone Icreamery and to see New Moon, which was a good movie. Not the best, but entertaining enough. :) And Saturday we spent the whole day digging out Christmas decorations, putting back the Thanksgiving China, and then shopping for and putting up a Christmas tree Saturday night. We're going to decorate the tree for FHE tonight, and as soon as it's done I'll get pictures up of it and the rest of my decorations. For now I've got some pics of Thanksgiving to wet your tastebuds. :)

Well, until next time, much love from CT!
Jen

PS~ Sorry about the dark pictures...we finally get batteries in the camera an now our flash is acting up :(

Erick Carving the turkey. Atleast it didn't explode!!

All the food set out...I didn't make gravy like I wanted too, or the butternut squash, and forgot to put out the cola salad, so we had it for desert!

Table setting....meh.
The Kaze's and Erick. Lorelai was taking a nap, and their youngest is sitting in the highchair. :)

The aftermath..... :)
