I obviously needed to blog today...

I started blogging about my crazy military life with the Hubs, because...well I needed an outlet! I needed a place where I could talk about all of my feelings ( most of them not so great) about being a basically single parent married to the military. But I also started blogging because I needed to feel a connection with other people who are going through what I'm going through...

Like with everything else ( I REALLY started to get this when I became a mom...) you never really understand a someone's situation unless you've experienced it yourself. And I needed to know that I wasn't crazy...that other women out there are going through the same thing and how in the world do they deal with it?!?

Mil-blogging has really afforded me a great opportunity to read about a lot of really great people from all walks of life. I feel really blessed that so many of you share your life and your stories, because it helps me keep mine in focus.

Anyway...this special moment has been brought to you because of this :

The Annoyed Army Wife has given me this award ( my first one!) and it really came on the most perfect day! I was just complaining to the Hubs last night how I kind of wish more people commented on my blog, and what kind of things does he think I should be writing about for people to be interested and read what I have to say? ( insert blank stare from my better half...I LOVE the man the death, but blogging isn't quite on his radar right now :)) So during my daily nap-time blog reading, I went to catch up with her blog to find this post, and I was touched. Nothing like blog awards to make you feel like snapping yourself out of the pitty party your having and be grateful that at least ONE person who isn't related to you is actually reading your thoughts and caring! ( Which isn't completely true, A Marine's Wife @ FlipFlops and Combat Boots commented on my last entry, and I totally appreciated it! I didn't enter the giveaway though...I'm kind of weird and feel like if I enter too many of those babies then I'm just in this for the prizes ( totally not why I do this), and since I recently just won a new header...you get where I'm going with that:))

ANYWAY ( woooo, this is turning out to be a longer post then I planned!) Thank you, Annoyed Army Wife, bet you didn't realize you were gonna make some poor Navy wife's day, did ya? :)

Here are the rest of the award rules: The rules for this award are simple. I have to thank the awesome person who gave it to you (check!), list 3 things I love about myself ( one moment please), and pass it along to 5 other people. ( that's going to be tough...)

3 things I love about myself...mmmmmm....

1) I've always been able to kind of look at something I want to do and then just...do it. Be it a craft project, or a certain skill I want to learn. I've never really been afraid of failure. I guess I can thank my parent's for that :)
2) I'm a good listener. ( HAHA....kind of hard to know that when on here all I write about it ME. But seriously....I am :))
3) I'm loyal. I think loyalty is something hard to come by these days, when it's easy to change your mind about pretty much anything, and people just kind of accept it. If you're a friend or love one, I've got your back. And you can always count on that.

Alright....five to pass this along to. This is tough for me because I have A LOT of blogs I try to read...and it's rare I can get to them all in one sitting. But here they are...

1) K @ Our Navy Nest
2) Wifey @ Wife of A Sailor
3) Sespi @ And You Never Did Think
4) Bonnie @ The "Sometimes Single" Mom
5) Just Anchored @ The Life Of An ET's Wife

Thanks so much for reading, y'all!! And don't forget to leave some love!

until next time,

Oh, you're welcome. I'm glad I could be a ray of sunshine on your gloomy day. :) You're really on top of things - I was too lazy to tell all of my award winners. I was going to do that now, I swear. Congrats and I hope you have a fabulous week!

I'm glad I found you, too! Feel free to mimic away. I think I'll start a meme/linky-thing (not sure what the correct term would be) for it. I'd be really interested in learning more about people though storytelling.

Awww....I'm sorry! I know what you mean. I've talked to my hubs about blogging...and when I first started...he didn't understand why it meant so much to me. But now since he's been deployed, he understands that it has helped me through his deployment. I have loved all the support of all the milspouses!

Sending hugs...:)

Thank you for the award :) I feel you on the comment love! But as a wise friend once pointed out to me, I blog for myself, and if other people also enjoy it, that's just a bonus!
